THE ISLE OF PATMOS, GREECE
photo

Here Tracie and I are on Patmos.  The Bay of Patmos is in the background.  It was on this island that the apostle John wrote the book of Revelation.  I believe all the warnings of judgment given in Revelation are really a revelation of God's grace.  Why would God want to warn anybody, unless He loved them.

We are now living in God's kingdom of grace.  When Jesus came to earth 2,000 years ago to die for the sins of the world, He came in human flesh.  But He was fully God.  All the fullness of the Godhead was in Jesus.  That is, the GLORY of GOD was veiled in the likeness of human flesh.  God could not appear in glory or sinners would be destroyed.  God told Moses (Exodus 33), "No man can see my glory and live."  That is no sinful person can look on the glory of God.  But Jesus declared who God is in the likeness of human flesh.  Jesus came to save His people from their sins, not in their sins.  Why?  So, He could prepare them for His second coming in GLORY.

At that time, we will see Him as He is in GLORY, and we won't perish because Jesus will give the saints new bodies and He will enable us to see Him.  That's when we will live in God's kingdom of Glory.  That means the redeemed saints will no longer be considered sinners in the sight of God, for they will already have been forgiven by the blood of Christ and saved by the grace of God.

Do you want to be in heaven with this God who loves you?  The book of Revelation is God's last call to a world lost in slavery to sin.  "Then I saw another angel, flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth--to every nation, tribe, tongue and people--saying with a loud voice, 'Fear God and give glory to Him for the hour of His judgment has come.  And worship Him, who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.'" (Revelation 14:6, 7)

POMPEII, ITALY
photo

Here I am with my wife Tracie visiting Pompeii, Italy.  Mt. Vesuvius is in the near background.  This city was buried by the ash and debris of a volcanic blast and the people went to their deaths ready or not.  The Bible teaches that a judgment is going on right now in heaven where Jesus is.  When will your name come up for judgment?  The only thing that can save anyone and allow them into heaven is the blood of Jesus that was shed for the sins of the world almost 2,000 years ago.  That is, if you believe in His life and death and resurrection for your sake.  The Bible teaches we are saved by grace through faith.  That faith is the deep heartfelt belief that Jesus spoke about in John 3:16.  Whoever believes on Him will not perish but have everlasting life.  Have you accepted His grace for your salvation?  Many Christians believe they are saved by grace, but they don't really know what grace is.  I will use this site to post Bible teachings about God's grace.  Until the next post, may the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you as you pray and search the Bible for truth.
